Career Opportunities

Entry Level Roadway Engineer   

First Group Engineering, Inc. is looking for an Entry Level Roadway Engineer for INDOT & LPA roadway design projects. Projects may include roadway reconstruction or rehabilitation, intersection improvements, roundabouts, storm sewers, sidewalks and ADA ramps, multi-use trails, or utility coordination.  The ideal candidate will possess the following:  - Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering – Passing Score on Fundamentals of Engineering Exam – 0-2 years of Roadway Design experience - AutoCAD Civil 3D familiarity a plus.



Resident Construction Project Representative   

This Construction Inspection position requires field experience and on-site supervisory responsibility for the construction of projects in conformance with the plans and specifications. Must have experience on INDOT/LPA projects and be Site Manager certified.  Hiring for Indianapolis Indiana Office.

Traffic Design Engineer  

 First Group Engineering is looking for a Traffic Design Engineer for the design of traffic signals, traffic signal systems, street lighting, signs, engineering assessments, and traffic impact studies.  The ideal candidate will have the following:  BSCE 3-6 years of traffic design experience EIT or PE and/or PTOE Experience using Capacity Analysis and AutoCAD software Familiar with IMUTCD, INDOT, LPA and AASHTO Standards and Procedures

Roadway Project Manager / Roadway Engineer   

First Group Engineering, Inc. is looking for a Project Manager / Roadway Engineer for INDOT & LPA roadway design projects. Projects may include roadway reconstruction or rehabilitation, intersection improvements, roundabouts, storm sewers, sidewalks and ADA ramps, multi-use trails, or utility coordination.  The ideal candidate will possess the following:  - Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering - Professional Engineer License in Indiana - 8 years of Road Design experience - AutoCAD Civil 3D experience - Familiar with INDOT, LPA and AASHTO Standards and Procedures - Ability to manage team of in-house designers and subconsultants, as well multiple project schedules, budgets, and perform quality control.
